Anne Sage and Her Expertise
A graduate of Stanford University with a Degree in English, Anne Sage’s expertise ranges from writing and editorial to brand planning, consumer strategy, PR and social media. At the time she founded annesage.com in 2008, she was working at a boutique-scale branding agency in Manhattan and servicing such accounts as Converse, John Varvatos, Kenneth Cole, LeSportsac, and Method.
Two years after starting her blog, Anne co-founded the online lifestyle publication Rue Magazine. During her time with Rue, the magazine grew to average of 15 million page views per issue and collaborated on major marketing initiatives with such brands as The Gap, Target, Dwell Studio, and West Elm. Anne’s role was multifaceted and included spearheading Rue’s brand identity development; creative directing, producing, and styling shoots; overseeing the core editorial team and the publication’s large roster of contributors; performing PR outreach and maintaining social media presence; and writing much of the publication’s copy.
Anne left her position at Rue in June of 2012 and has since focused on taking her blog to ever higher levels with endeavors such as social media consul- tation, editorial and commercial copy writing, styling and production. As well, she has just completed her first book, an interiors volume to be published in the Fall of 2015 by Chronicle Books.
