Episode 242: Fay Wolf

Hi, I’m Fay Wolf and I like to shake up old beliefs about clutter and organization. For a decade, I’ve helped folks de-clutter their lives, access creativity, and feel better about being adults.

We do things a little differently around here…This isn’t about getting it right all the time or the perfect “after” photo. It’s about getting rid of shit you don’t need (whether that’s inner clutter, outer clutter, or digital clutter) and making it easier to do what you want to do and make what you want to make. Oh, and screw perfection. A little better is a little better.

The best way to dig in is to grab my book New Order: A De-cluttering Handbook For Creative Folks (And Everyone Else). It’s available from Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Books-A-Million | iBooks | Indiebound | Powell’s | Ballantine / Random House.

I keep in touch with my subscribers each month, sending short posts / musings / tips about clutter, creativity, adulthood, and a lotta subjects in-between. Sign up below.

I should probably also tell you: I love working with creative folks because I am a creative folk, goshdarnit. I attended school as an acting major (if IMDb pages are your thing, mine exists here). And a few years after I opened the doors of New Order, I started writing sad songs. (Those songs have since been heard on a bunch of neat television shows.) But more notably, this creating thing has brought lots of glee and wonder (and therapy) into my life. And a big reason I’ve been able to create efficiently is because my de-cluttering and productivity skills are in check (usually). So it’s all connected here, seeeee?

And not to worry: if you don’t consider yourself creative, you’re probably still in the right place. Creativity can mean cooking a beautiful meal or going full throttle on your model airplane hobby. This stuff is for everyone. Welcome aboard.
